See what’s actually working on your X account.

Postcurve turns the numbers X already shows you into analytics you can act on. Every post is compared with your own posts at the same age, so you know within hours whether it’s taking off. It all stays in your browser.

The Postcurve overview: a live post running at 4.0× your typical post at its age, with the posts it was compared with, above impressions, engagements, engagement rate, posts and followers, and a chart of impressions by day.

How it works

A post’s first two hours aren’t its whole life.

X shows each post’s totals so far. Set a two-hour-old post beside last week’s and even a great start looks ordinary. Postcurve records your posts’ numbers whenever X shows them to you, and compares each post with your own posts at the same age.

This post vs your typical post

Impressions by post age · example

  • This post
  • Typical post at the same age

Three hours in, this post has 1,400 impressions; your typical post had 350 at that age. Only real observations are plotted: lines just connect them.

One post, two comparisons

A post with 600 impressions, 2 hours after posting · example

Against last week’s posts’ totals
0.9×Looks ordinary
Against your posts at 2 hours
2.0×One of your strongest starts

What you’ll see

Answers, with the evidence attached.

Not another wall of totals. Postcurve picks out what changed, what stands out and what has tended to work, and shows how many posts each answer rests on.

See why a post stands out

Open any post to see how it ranks among your posts at the same age, how fast it started, and which of your patterns it fits.

  • Rank and multiple against your posts at the same age
  • Early speed in the first 30 minutes against your typical start
  • Every reason lists the posts behind it
The “Why it stands out” card for one post: 4.0× your typical post at 6 hours, in the top 2% of your original posts at the same age, 4.0× your typical speed in the first 30 minutes, and a pattern it shares, each with the posts behind it.

Learn which hooks, topics and formats work for you

Your posts grouped by hook, format, length, media, links, call to action and topics you define, each against your typical post at the same age.

  • Groups under 3 posts stay hidden
  • A pattern needs 5 or more posts before it’s shown
  • Worded as “historically associated with”, never as cause
Posts grouped by hook, with post counts, each group’s multiple of your typical post, median and average impressions, engagement rate, replies, reposts and bookmarks.

Find the times that have worked for you

A day-by-time map of how your posts did against your typical post. Every cell says how many posts it’s based on, so a lucky hour can’t pass for a pattern.

  • Your own history, not generic “best times to post”
  • Switch between reach, engagement, replies and bookmarks
A map of days against four-hour blocks, each cell showing how posts there did against your typical post and how many posts it’s based on.

A feed of findings, ranked by evidence

Live breakouts, patterns, rising and fading trends and unusual posts, ordered by how reliable, large and recent they are. Save what helps and dismiss what doesn’t.

  • Marked Exploratory, Moderate or Strong
  • Each with its sample size, baseline and dates
The insights feed: two live posts running well ahead of your typical post at their age, and a posting-time pattern historically associated with higher reach, each marked Strong with its evidence.

Built on evidence

Numbers you can check.

Analytics are only useful if you can trust them. These rules hold everywhere in Postcurve.

  • ExploratoryModerateStrong

    Every finding shows its evidence

How many posts, compared with what, over which dates, and how reliable that makes it.

  • 0.5×0.7×1.0×1.4×2.3×

    No mystery scores

No opaque 0–100 ratings. You see multiples of your typical post, ranks and counts you can check.

  • Questions have historically gone with more replies on your account.

    Correlation, never cause

It says what has gone together on your account. It never claims a post won you followers.

  • Missing stays missing

Moments X didn’t show you are left out, not filled in. A rounded “1.2K” is kept as unknown, never guessed.

Private by design

Your analytics never leave your computer.

No account to create, nothing to sign in to, no server to send anything to. The free version has none.

Questions

Good questions.

Anything else? Email admin@oddlyserious.company.

Is it really free?

Yes. Every feature on this page is in the free version, with no limit on posts or history.

Does it post, like or follow for me?

Never. It doesn’t click, scroll or post on X. When you share a card, X’s own composer opens and nothing is posted until you press Post yourself.

Do I need to give it my password or an API key?

No. It reads the numbers X already shows you on x.com while you’re signed in. It never asks for your password and doesn’t use X’s paid API.

Where is my data stored?

In your browser’s own storage on this computer. Nothing is uploaded. You can export it as CSV or JSON, or delete everything from Settings.

Do I need to keep X open all the time?

No. Postcurve records your posts’ numbers whenever X shows them to you: your profile, your posts, your timeline. The more often you look, the finer the picture. Moments it didn’t see are left out, never filled in.

Can I see other accounts’ analytics?

No. It works only for your own account, after you turn it on for it. Other people’s posts aren’t stored.

Can I bring in my older posts?

Yes. Import your X data archive to fill in your post history (archives don’t include view counts), or an export from X’s analytics page to add the numbers X reported. Both are read on your computer.

Which browsers does it work in?

Google Chrome 111 or later on a computer. It’s coming soon to the Chrome Web Store.

Is Postcurve made by X?

No. Postcurve is independent and isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by X Corp.
